1. To add music, photo and video files to your player
connect the player to a PC using the USB cable provided.
2. The player should light up as it is connected. On the PC go to Start/My Computer/ .The player should show up as 'Removable Disk’ or ‘Removable Storage Device'
3. Drag and drop your MP3 music files, JPEG photos and movie files onto the player.
4. When you have transferred all your files to your player, ‘Eject’ it so that the Disk icon vanishes from the computer, and then disconnect the lead.
I can not get my songs or movies to play!
This is the most common question we are asked. Your files must be in the correct format for your player, otherwise they will not play!
It is common to call all music files MP3, even if they are in another format, which may not be compatible with your player. Remember that a music CD must be converted to MP3 before you can transfer the files to your player.
So, lets test things and see where the problem is:
Firstly, your player comes with some test files already in it, you can see that these should play fine, so we know the player will play alright.
Secondly, let's make sure the files being put onto the player are in the correct format, remember that the Sonix7 Pro & Sonix7 Lite require movies to be converted using supplied software, which can be also downloaded here Download
There are also some test files you can download, if they play fine and you still can't get your own songs or movies to play, then they are not in the correct format. For a list of file types that your player will play check out the 'Technical Specifications' section on the products page.
Try downloading these test files and putting them on your player:
Song_test.mp3 (suitable for all players)
Sonix7_Pro_Movie_Test.avi (Pro & Extreme only)
Extreme_Movie_Test.flv (Extreme only)
picture_test.jpg (suitable for all players)
Lastly, lets make sure that your player is connected correctly to your PC by following the steps listed above in Help connecting the player to your computer.
If after following all these steps, you still can not get things to play, send us note here http://www.sonix7.com/support.php and we will be right back to you

HELP, the player has crashed!
On the side of your player there is a pin hole re-set button. This will automatically turn the player off, and it should start up fine again when you turn it on.
Your Sonix7 player is a mini computer, and like all computers it is possible for it to crash or freeze. This can be caused by trying to play a file that is not in the correct format.
Also, make sure that there is still some free space on your player. Again like your PC, if your hard drive is totally used up your computer will have problems functioning.
